Architectural objects and monuments
• Wooden Višakio Rūda Church (built in 1883, one of the most beautiful wooden sacral buildings in Northern Suvalkija)
• Chapel of Antanavas old park (built in 18C; Chrapovickai. The new hosts repaired it in the 19C and decorated its interior with
paintings. The chapel is wooden, hexagonal, with two sacristies. It is an original monument of folk sacral architecture).
Art objects and monuments
• Kazlų Rūda Municipality boasts gifted folk artists. There is an abundance of splendid wooden roadside poles with a silhouette
of a saint and wooden sculptures dedicated for famous people of the land and Lithuania in the town and its environs.
• Kazlų Rūda square is decorated with carved works erected by the artists who participated in plain air events. The biggest
sculpture was erected in the centre of the square on the occasion of foundation of Kazlų Rūda Municipality consisting of three
goddesses – justice, art and culture and town patroness. The square is also decorated with carved characters of children’s
fairy tales. A monument dedicated for the exiles is standing near Kazlų Rūda railway station.

A wonder-making spring having curative powers in Višakio Rūda boasts a lot of legends and stories. According to people’s stories,
the Holy Virgin Mary appeared here, therefore a chapel was built next to the spring. |
